Versatex Building Products, LLC, is adding a fourth realistic woodtone finish for 2018.
A shade called Amber will be added to Versatex’s Canvas Series of premium PVC surfaces for porch and veranda ceilings.
Introduced earlier this year, the Canvas Series was developed for projects that call for the classic look of hardwood overhead, without the mess of onsite finishing or the cost of old-school installation, the company said. Other tones in the series include black cherry, walnut, and tropical macore.
“We did three years of homework before we released the first Canvas Series products, to make sure we got the aesthetic side as well as the technical qualities just right,” said Rick Kapres, Versatex vice president of sales. “The residential construction world has embraced them, and now experience in the field has shown that we were on the right track.”
Like the original Canvas Series, the Amber shade conforms to the standard Versatex WP4 tongue and groove profile, with tactile woodgrain laminate permanently bonded to moisture-resistant, easy-to-install premium cellular PVC. The Canvas Series can be used in exterior or interior application where moisture resistance is an issue.
