Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) opened a new Town & Country Hardware store in Benson, N.C., just south of Raleigh.
The company now operates nine stores in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area.
The new store has a 6,200-sq.-ft. sales floor and a 3,200-sq.-ft. garden center. The store features a broad assortment of hardware, lawn and garden, outdoor living, paint, electrical, plumbing and home organization products.
“We are excited about the continued growth of Town & Country Hardware,” said Jim Smith, chairman of CNRG. “This is the second store we’ve added to the Town & Country Hardware brand that we acquired last year."
CNRG also acquired Etheridge True Value Hardware in Natchez, Miss. on June 1. The store is being consolidated into Home Hardware Center’s main store, two miles south. Former owner, Glenn Etheridge, is now the store manager of Home Hardware Center.
“I’m glad to bring Glenn’s business and expertise to Home Hardware Center,” said Smith. “This is really a win-win for all of us.”
CNRG currently operates 43 home center and hardware stores in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia under the Home Hardware Center, Morrison Terrebonne Lumber Center, NFL Home Center, Elliott’s Hardware, Town & Country Hardware, Habersham Hardware & Homecenter, WT Harvey Lumber, and Town & Country Farm & Hardware brands.
