All indications point to another up-and-down week on Wall Street, as the HCN Stock Index fell to 731.72 on Tuesday. After a 2 percent jump on Monday, the basket of 20 home channel stocks gave back its gains, and more, falling 2.9 percent yesterday.
Only two of the 20 companies showed increases in share value -- Tractor Supply, up 28 cents to $35.53; and Andersons, up 22 cents to $3.28.
Also on Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 2.23 percent to 8,827.29. The HCN Index is now down 26.8 percent since Sept. 15.
