Menards is planning to open a 240,000-square-foot store in Tipp City, Ohio, according to the Tipp City Herald. The grand opening is set for June 17.
The new store sits on 20 acres purchased by Menards, which also owns an adjacent parcel of 24 acres, according to the newspaper. The additional land is zoned for commercial use, the report said.
With a population of approximately 10,000 people, Tipp City serves as a bedroom community to Dayton, Ohio, ten miles to the south.
The third largest home improvement chain by sales, Menards now operates 239 big-box stores in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio and South Dakota.
