The West Coast Lumber & Building Material Association (WCLBMA) has elected officers and directors for 2014, including Mark Ganahl as president.
Ganahl is VP of Ganahl Lumber and general manager of the company’s Anaheim, Calif., location. Ganahl Lumber is the state’s oldest lumberyard, with a history that dates back to 1884. Today Ganahl Lumber has nine locations in Southern California.
Ganahl has spent more than 25 years in the family business working in all phases of the industry. He was named Anaheim location general manager in 2010. He and his wife Melissa have three children and are active in numerous community undertakings. His father, Peter Ganahl, was association president in 1982, and Jim Taft of Ganahl Lumber was LACN president in 2006.
Sean Fogarty, Osborne Lumber, Newark, Calif., moves into the first VP position, and Victor Fresca, ProBuild, San Diego, becomes second VP. Bobby Senften, Friedman’s Home Improvement, Santa Rosa, continues as WCLBMA treasurer. Augie Venezia, Fairfax Lumber & Hardware, Fairfax, remains on the board as past president.
Elected to the WCLBMA board of directors as dealer members were Rick Deen, Nichols Lumber, Baldwin Park, and Mark Boone, Champion Lumber, Riverside.
Elected to the board as new associate member directors were Tom Knippen, Diablo Timber Company, Napa, and Dale Verseput, Select Equipment Sales, Buena Park.
Holdover dealer directors are Matt Petersen, Mead Clark Lumber, Santa Rosa, and Jeff Pardini, Hills Flat Lumber, Grass Valley.
Holdover associate member directors are Vic Hausmaninger, HBLA CPAs, Irvine; Seamus O’Reilly, LP Building Products, Fairfield; and Chris Swanson, Swanson Group Sales, Glendale OR.
Sitting in on board meetings as a non-voting participant is the 2014 Second Growth president, Jay McArthur, Ojai Lumber, Ojai.
WCLBMA executive director Ken Dunham, Folsom, remains as corporate secretary.
