Red Bank, New Jersey-based Homebuilder Hovnavian enterprises announced this week that it plans to build a community in Summersville, South Carolina. The gated community, Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay, will contain 800 homes.
"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to build a K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons community in South Carolina," the company’s board chairman, President and CEO, Ara Hovnanian said. "Given the strong demographic trends, we have talked about expanding our active adult offering into new markets, and we believe we found a great location that will allow us to take advantage of the growth opportunities that are present in Charleston."
The Summersville development will be built around a 250-acre lake and in a location with access to several nature trails. It will also have a fitness center, as well as various spaces for sports like tennis and bocce ball.

The template on which the Summersville community is ranked number 19 among the top-selling communities in the U.S. Currently, a welcome center is slated to open for the Four Seasons in the fall.
