Emery-Waterhouse launches rebranding campaign at spring market

Emery-Waterhouse, the Portland, Maine-based distributor of hardlines and building materials, held its Marketplace 2012 at the Rhode Island Convention Center March 16 to 17, with the usual face-to-face meetings between customers, manufacturers, and Emery-Waterhouse representatives. But the Portland, Maine-based wholesaler also used its spring market to unveil the company’s new rebranding initiative.

The new tagline, “Driven by your success,” replaces “On the level. Every day.” Company CEO Steve Frawley said the change reflects the company’s focus on delivering results designed to help its customers grow. 

“Once again, our Marketplace trade show proved to be a powerful venue for strengthening our customer relationships and further opening the lines of communication,” said Frawley. “For Emery-Waterhouse, everything we do is focused on our customers’ success. This event, our rebranding efforts and our day-to-day business operations are designed to strengthen that message. We do more than distribute product — we help our customers grow and become more profitable. This show was all about reinforcing our loyalty and commitment to that end.”
Despite the volatility of the housing market, Emery-Waterhouse said it continues to enjoy double-digit growth, due in part to expanding its presence in the paint and sundries category to include inner-city markets and dedicated paint stores.

Founded in 1842, Emery-Waterhouse is a full-service independent hardlines distributor serving hardware dealers, lumberyards and home centers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. In 2008, the company launched its Emery Building Materials division with operations in Pennsylvania.
