Delta Faucet has buffed up its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance with a new line of bathroom accessories that aim to make it easier for seniors to remain independent in their own homes.
New products include the Decor Assist collection of towel bars, pivoting toilet roll holders and corner shelves; ADA-Compliant Decorative Grab Bars; and the In2ition showers, an integrated shower head and handheld shower in one.
"People are living independently in their homes longer than ever before, driving demand for products that allow people to stay in place as they age without institutionalizing their home's decor," said Judd Lord, director of industrial design for Delta Faucet Company. "Delta Faucet offers a wide range of bath products that incorporate both design and technological innovations to help keep the home safer, while also appealing to multiple generations."
According to an AARP study cited by the company, nearly 90% of Americans hope to remain in their homes as they age.
