Char-Broil, a leading U.S. producer of gas grills, will return as an exhibitor to the 2009 National Hardware Show after a six-year absence, the Columbus, Ga.-based company announced.
Char-Broil will anchor the "Stay-cation Marketing Center," a new feature at the show, which will be held May 5 to 7, 2009, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. This outside space within the show's lawn and garden area -- targeting consumers who choose to spend their vacations at home -- will showcase hands-on testing and education about the latest in grills, outdoor furnishings, accessories, storage and coverings.
"This new area is designed to help retailers learn about the products so they can better sell them to customers," Beth Blake, spokeswoman for the National Hardware Show, told Home Channel News. "And if they have limited space in their stores, they can learn how to merchandise more effectively."
"We are excited to return to the National Hardware Show for the first time since 2002," said Rob Schwing, senior director, brand marketing at Char-Broil. "Our exhibit on the Show floor and anchor of the new Stay-cation Center offer an excellent platform to showcase our new line of infrared products."
Schwing also said Char-Broil will host its annual sales meeting at the show, which will offer its retail partners an opportunity to meet with the entire team to plan upcoming activities.
