The Hardlines Technology Forum, a gathering of IT, logistics, merchandising and finance executives in the home channel, will be held at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn., April 20 to 24.
Sponsored by the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA), the annual conference focuses on issues affecting the hardware and home improvement industry, including supply chain management, RFID, data synchronization, Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Timothy Farrell, president and CEO of the AHMA, said the 2008 forum would emphasize the role IT plays in managing and supporting various departments within a company. More than 50 break-out sessions will address topics like bar coding, credit card security, and electronic payments.
